Incorporate light-painting into an image for the purpose of enhancing the composition and not just a bunch of squigley lines

That is exactly the email that Providence, Rhode Island's Dan Ohh sent from his Iphone, to himself.
A friend had sent him a link to www.voltronofawesomeness.com where he saw the work of California photographer Jeff Newsom and he wanted to be able to remember this moment of inspiration.
Dan keeps a file of these self-emails and finds that they help to keep him aware of his scattered ideas, enabling him to make use of them when the right opportunity comes around.

He loved that in certain situations the light painting enhanced the composition of the image.
He ran with this thought for his shot of the shoes, wanting to make it look as if Chase had just popped out of his shoes. He took a few test shots with just light streaks but felt that the whole concept really came together with the addition of the fog vapor.
" I felt really great when my last frame clicked and this was what I saw on the LCD.  I was like, sweet I nailed it. I often feel more fulfilled when I shoot something for myself and can take my time and really craft an image, like in this case", "When other people enjoy the work or take inspiration from it, it makes it that much more gratifying...for me at least."
